Faunteroy Community Enrichment Center

Deanwood Community Center

The Faunteroy Community Enrichment Center continues to support the community during the COVID19 through comprehensive programs aimed at providing protective paraphernalia, provision of nutrition, access to General Health Services, COVID19 Testing, Virtual Programs and Developing further as a Resilience Hub.

During this time of great uncertainty and fear, we have come to realize that the primary need of the community is for the FCEC to remain a steadfast resource that provides support and a sense of “presence” in order to soothe the emotional toll of the novel Coronavirus and the diseases it causes COVID19. Building on its past experiences and best-practices, FCEC has developed strategic partnerships and collaboration with granting agencies to develop a wholistic set of multi-prong programs with immediate impact.

These Programs are as follows:
  • Mask Donation Program, supported through DMPED, DC HOPE grants.
  • Provision of Nutrition in Partnership with Food For ALL.
  • Access to General Health Services/Screening and COVID19 Testing in Partnership with United Medical Center Mobile Unit and supported by the DC Hope grant.
  • Virtual Arts Youth Programs, supported by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities grant
  • Developing its presence as a Resilience Hub supported through the Prince Charitable Trusts, RHCC and DOEE
The FCEC is using the ingenuity and talent found in the DC-Metro area to create an ecosystem of talented individuals and professionals to drive initiatives creatively, effectively and successfully: We are after-all “DC TUFF”
